The first principle of successful leadership is managing Up and Across. We all answer to someone in our life and how effectively we manage that relatsionhip is critical to our own success in our role. Brett will work with you to understand your key influential relationships and how to effectively navigate through them.
Many people will rely on you throughout your day to help set them on the proper course for success. How do you effectively lead others that are downstream in your group. Whether you are a leader at work, the head of a community fund-raiser, coach or captain of a sports team, or a parent of young children, you have a responsiblity to those that you influence. This session will provide you the proper skills to manage 'down' throughout your life.
How do you know if you are effective in your role if you can't measure the results? How can you be clear with those you lead if your data has no purpose or reason? Despite pockets of soceity that are eliminating score keeping, grades and other performance metrics, leadership role require metrics to definte certain aspects of success and strategy. In this session we will work individually to determine the most appropriate ways to use metrics to super charge the effectiveness of your leadership.
In the final session, we will discuss the importance of self-care. Being a leader can be a stressful responsiblity. In today's world of management coaching, 'Servant Leadership' is all the rage. By inverting the hierarchy and working for your team instead of the reverse you can create exceptional results. But what if this commitment to others come at a high personal cost. In this session we will take the time to ensure your own well being is attended to to make sure you are mentally and physically prepared to enjoy the challenge ahead!
